Submitting a notification to the Public Prosecutor’s Office about a suspicion of a crime committed by the Minister of State Assets

The Management Board of PKP CARGO S.A. in restructuring (the “Company”, “PKP CARGO”) informs that today it filed a notification with the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw of a suspicion of committing a crime by Mr. Jacek Sasin, serving as the Minister of State Assets in the years 2019-2023.

The suspicion of committing a crime consists in the failure of the Minister of State Assets to fulfill his obligations by failing to conclude with PKP CARGO S.A. the necessary agreement related to the implementation of the order indicated in the decision of the Prime Minister of July 25, 2022 and the amending decision of October 6, 2022 (the “Decision”) and on the basis of art. 7b sec. 1 of the Act of April 26, 2007 on crisis management, concerning the transport of coal purchased by the companies: PGE Paliwa Sp. z o.o. and Węglokoks S.A. in order to implement the above. Decisions by which he acted to the detriment of public and private interests.
