Signing of an agreement for the provision of rail transport services classified as military transport

The Management Board of PKP CARGO S.A. (“Company”), in reference to Current Report No. 5/2021 of 19 February 2021, hereby reports that, earlier today, a framework agreement was signed with the State Treasury, 2nd Regional Logistics Base with its registered office in Warsaw (“Contracting Entity”), for the provision of services involving domestic and international transport by rail of military equipment and personnel for the needs of certain organizational units of the Ministry of National Defense (“Agreement”).

The Agreement has been entered into for a period of 7 years from the date of its signing. The dates and volumes of orders will depend on the needs of the relevant organizational units of the Ministry of National Defense, and the provision of specific rail transport services will be effected under service provision agreements to be entered into by and between the relevant organizational units of the Ministry of National Defense and the Company.

The execution of the framework agreement does not create any obligations on the part of the Contracting Entity or any organizational units controlled by the Minister of National Defense to award any contracts under the said agreement.

According to the notice, the maximum total value of the contract has been estimated by the Contracting Entity at PLN 1.1 billion net (PLN 1.4 billion gross).
