Information on the intention to carry out collective layoffs at PKP CARGOTABOR Sp. z o.o.

The Management Board of PKP CARGO S.A. in restructuring with its registered office in Warsaw (“Issuer”, “Company”) hereby announces that today the Management Board of the subsidiary PKP CARGOTABOR Sp. z o.o. (“Subsidiary”) has decided to start consultations with company trade unions operating in the Subsidiary regarding the intention to carry out group layoffs.

The above decision was made due to the difficult financial situation of the Subsidiary, the suspension of orders for rolling stock repairs from PKP CARGO S.A. and the failure to repay liabilities by PKP CARGO S.A., as well as the fact that the Subsidiary filed an application to open restructuring proceedings and an application to declare bankruptcy of PKP CARGOTABOR Sp. z o.o., about which the Issuer informed in current report no. 49/2024.

Group layoffs will be carried out on the basis of the Act of 13 March 2003 on special principles for terminating employment relationships with employees for reasons not related to the employees.

The Company will provide information on the planned scale of group layoffs and the date of their implementation after receiving information on the results of consultations between the Management Board of the Subsidiary and the company trade unions operating in PKP CARGOTABOR Sp. z o.o.
