Giving consent to submit a bid for rail transport services classified as military transport
The Management Board of PKP CARGO S.A. (“Company”) hereby reports that on 16 February 2021 it adopted a resolution giving its consent to the submission of a price bid in a proceeding conducted by the 2nd Regional Logistics Base with its registered office in Warsaw (“Contracting Entity”) under a single-source procurement procedure.
In connection with the need to modify certain assumptions and the absence of an outcome of the previous proceeding in which the Company submitted its bid, as was reported in Current Report No. 42/2020 of 15 December 2020, the Contracting Entity invited the Company to submit a bid in the currently conducted proceeding, in which the Contracting Entity extended the expected term of the master agreement to 7 years. The rail transport services would be provided under service provision contracts to be entered into by PKP CARGO S.A.
The subject matter of the currently conducted proceeding continues to be the provision of rail transport services to organizational units of the Ministry of National Defense, broken down into 2 parts:
Task 1 – domestic rail transport services,
Task 2 – international rail transport services.
The Company will report on any future decisions that will be made in this proceeding in a separate communication.
