Estimation of selected financial and operating data of the PKP CARGO Group for 3 months of 2024

The Management Board of PKP CARGO S.A. (“Company”) hereby publishes preliminary estimated consolidated financial and operating highlights for the first 3 months of 2024:

– revenues from contracts with customers: PLN 1,180.7 million;
– EBITDA: PLN 122.4 million;
– EBIT: PLN -96.8 million;
– net result: PLN -118.1 million;
– freight volume: 17.9 million tons;
– freight turnover 4,569 million tkm.

The presented financial highlights are tentative estimates obtained during the preparation of the Group’s consolidated financial statements for the first three months of 2024 and as such are subject to change. The Company will present the final financial performance data in its consolidated periodic report for Q1 2024, which will be published on 27 May 2024.

In light of the Company’s temporary financial difficulties and curtailment of operations, the Management Board is taking all possible steps to improve business efficiency, streamline processes and optimize costs.
Any further decisions in this regard will be announced by the Company in the form of a current report.
