Commencement of talks regarding the purchase of shares in Vest Trans Rail SRL, Ferest Logistics SRL and Romcargounit SRL

The Management Board of PKP CARGO S.A. (“Company”, “PKP CARGO”) hereby reports that is has commenced talks with: (i) Vest Trans Rail SRL with its registered office in Ploiesti, Romania, (ii) Ferest Logistics SRL with its registered office in Bucharest, Romania, (iii) Romcargounit SRL with its registered office in Bucharest, Romania, regarding the purchase by PKP CARGO of shares in the above-mentioned entities.

The companies Vest Trans Rail SRL, Ferest Logistics SRL, Romcargounit SRL are linked to each other in respect to their ownership and business activity. The companies operate in the area of rail freight services on the Romanian market. The commencement of these talks is an element of the PKP CARGO Group’s Strategy for 2019-2023 associated with international expansion of PKP CARGO in the Central and Eastern Europe.

At the same time, the PKP CARGO Management Board wishes to emphasize that the mere commencement of the talks does not mean that the share purchase transaction will necessarily be completed.

The Company will publish updates in the form of separate current reports about subsequent significant events related to these activities.
